BALDWIN: WE ARE PAYING A HIGH PENALTY

BRIDGEND head coach Scott Baldwin says his side's success in Super Rygbi Cymru this season will come down to how quickly they can sort out their own indiscipline.

Baldwin again cut a frustrated figure after watching his side come out on the wrong end of a result - this time narrowly losing 37-35 at the hands of Aberavon at the Brewery Field.

‘The Ravens were beaten by Ebbw Vale in round two and were perhaps fortunate to beat Carmarthen Quins on the opening weekend of the campaign.

Discipline has been the main Bridgend buzzword in all three games and the frustrating number of avoidable penalties conceded.

“Discipline was again what cost us.” said Baldwin.

“It’s a tough one to take, and that's not taking anything away from Aberavon who executed the game plan brilliantly.

“When we're desperate and need to get back in games, we always find a way.

“But we've had this conversation too many times with this group about having to be desperate to do things.

“'ve said to them that we cannot be having this conversation in four or five weeks’ time.

“It’s so early in the season but if we're having this conversation in November and December, the top half of the table pulls away from us.
