|October 03, 2025
YOUNG people from a Swansea school have been sharing the positive impact their Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) has had on them and their local community.
-

Many of the Ysgol Pen y Bryn students told Swansea West MP Torsten Bell about their recent experience at the charity's Gold Award Celebrations in Buckingham Palace Garden, and how much they had enjoyed their experience.
They also shared stories from their volunteering section and spoke about the benefits of the DofE Award and the effect it has had on their personal development.
Ysgol Pen y Bryn has been a DofE licensed organisation for over 20 years, and in the last six years, has supported over 95 young people to start a DofE Award.
