£600k winter support fund
South Wales Evening Post
|September 20, 2025
A HUGE package of help and support for young people, families and individuals in Swansea will be in place again this winter.
Swansea Council is making more than £600,000 available as part of its Here For You This Winter campaign to help those struggling with the cost of Christmas and winter, the school holidays or residents who are facing loneliness or isolation.
Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart said: "Once again we will be leading the way in Wales by supporting thousands of our residents this winter. There will be free food and shopping food vouchers available to ensure vulnerable families and children are able to get the food they need during the holidays, and we will make available warm and welcoming spaces for people who are feeling lonely or isolated so they can get together.
