Murder trial hears how woman tried to warn victim: 'He’s got a knife, run!’

A woman has described the moment she saw a “loving” husband and father being stabbed by two teenagers she had been spending time with just before. Upon seeing that one of the boys had produced a knife, she told the victim: “He's got a knife, run.”

Kamran Aman, 38, pictured, suffered a fatal stab wound to the left side of his chest shortly after midnight on June 30 in Barry, after an altercation involving two boys, aged 16 and 17.

A trial at Cardiff Crown Court was played footage of the incident, in which one of the boys could be heard shouting “n*****" after the victim had already suffered the fatal injury.

The defendants, of Llantwit Major, have both pleaded guilty to manslaughter but deny murder. They cannot be named as they are both under 18 years old and a court order has been made preventing them from being identified.

Yesterday, a woman who spent time with the two defendants at an address in Barry Road prior to the altercation with Mr Aman, gave evidence.

We have chosen not to identify her in order to protect the anonymity of the two defendants, which has been ordered by the court.
