MALE BIG CAT MOVES FROM UKRAINE TO BOSTON
A TIGER found abandoned in wartorn Ukraine is set to get a second chance - with a new life 1,600 miles away in Lincolnshire. Aleks was found emaciated in a private enclosure after his owner fled the conflict.
When he was discovered in 2022 by military volunteers the male white tiger was also dehydrated and suffering from painful dermatitis. Mobility issues left him unable to stand on his hind legs.
He was brought to safety by the group Help Animals of Ukraine at the Wild Animal Rescue Centre, where dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to help him recover.
