NORTH Kesteven District Council boasts the highest proportion of top-rated food businesses in Greater Lincolnshire, with 99.78 per cent achieving a combined 'three' 'four, or 'five' star rating.

To safeguard the public and uphold high standards, the council conducts regular, often unannounced, inspections of all food premises. These visits operate on a risk-based approach, ensuring that establishments posing a higher risk are checked more frequently than those in lower risk categories.
Of the 957 food business in the district, 835 are rated as 'five' star, 59 as 'four, and eight as 'three' Business rated 'three', 'four', or 'five' are known by the Food Standards Agency as 'Broadly Compliant.
