Few fixtures in English football carry the weight, history and raw emotion of Sunderland coming up against bitter rivals Newcastle United.
The derby is more than a game; it is a clash of identity, pride and generations-old loyalties that run through families, workplaces and entire communities.
Although they faced each other in the FA Cup almost two years ago, the club's had probably never been so far apart in terms of league status and development.
