Wheelie bins launch put back once more

MORE details of the overhaul of kerbside waste and recycling collections have been revealed.

Wheelie bin collections have been put back to October next year because of the “long lead time” for the delivery of new trucks and bins.
Sevenoaks District Council is completely changing its system of waste collection.
Wheelie bins will be introduced for recycling and rubbish, and glass and food waste will be collected for the first time, to meet new government legislation.
The council has now put in orders for 21 new waste collection trucks and 100,000 food caddies, a meeting of its cleaner and greener advisory committee was told on Tuesday.
