Optimistic Oaks boss looks forward to new season

SEVENOAKS Town boss Marcel Nimani believes his team's warm-up games will provide a good range of opposition as they prepare for the new season next month.

The final fixture planned for August 2 against Raynes Park Vale has been postponed as Oaks begin their campaign in the Emirates FA Cup. They will find out their first opponents tomorrow (Friday) when the early draws for the competition are released together with the Isuzu FA Trophy and FA Youth Cup.
Oaks hosted Southern Combination League side East Preston on Wednesday evening, ahead of a visit from Isthmian League Premier Division Whitehawk on Saturday.
They are expected to include former Oaks favourite Emmanuel Mensah - winner of three player-of-the-year awards at the Brighton based club last season.
Nimani said: “We have a range of tasks facing us in pre-season - different surfaces, styles of play at different levels, so it will be a good test in what will be a gradual build up to the new season.”
