Allotments association marks 100th anniversary
Sevenoaks Chronicle
|May 01, 2025
HAVE you ever considered growing your own fruit and vegetables? At a time when the cost of living grows ever higher, what could be better than getting outside in the fresh air, getting exercise and, most important, harvesting your own fresh produce?
In 2025, Sevenoaks Allotment Holders' Association (SAHA) celebrates 100 years of supporting and encouraging the town's residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
With some 200 tenants and over 260 plots of varying sizes, the Quakers' Hall Allotments (often referred to as the town's 'green lung') are a thriving community as diverse as the town itself.
