THE TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE IS A SIGNIFICANT JOURNEY, AND ONE THAT DESERVES DEDICATED SUPPORT
-
SCUNTHORPE Jobcentre is proud to reaffirm its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, those who serve, have served, and their families.
With more than 16,500 individuals leaving the UK regular Armed Forces between April 2022 and March 2023, the transition to civilian life is a significant journey, and one that deserves dedicated support.
Many service leavers bring with them a wealth of experience and qualifications, particularly in high-demand sectors such as engineering and large goods vehicle (LGV) driving.
Recognising this, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) works closely with partner organisations and charities to help veterans, and their families unlock their full potential.
However, it is not just service leavers who face challenges. Dependents of serving personnel often struggle to build careers due to frequent relocations across the UK and abroad.
