Police raid uncovers 19 rooms packed with cannabis plants in North Lincolnshire village

HUMBERSIDE Police found one of the largest haul of cannabis plants when they raided a remote farm in a North Lincolnshire village, a court heard.

A total of 1,600 plants were discovered with a street value, once cultivated, of around £850,000.

Experts said the money made from the illegal production would have been well in excess of that figure had the haul not been discovered.

At Grimsby Crown Court, Pham Son, 51, from Vietnam, denied being involved in the production of cannabis.

But after a trail he was convicted and later jailed.

Prosecuting, Annabelle Coakley said four men were arrested but proceedings against three others were discontinued.
