Police investigate as exotic snakes found abandoned

POLICE in North Lincolnshire are investigating after four exotic snakes were captured in the area with another still suspected to be on the loose.

The force received reports of non-native snake species being abandoned in the Twigmoor and Cleatham areas on June 11.

The release of any animal that is not native to the United Kingdom is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
