£8.5m fund for solar panels at hospitals in the Humber region

GREAT British Energy has backed the NHS Humber Health Partnership with £8.5m to install new solar panels.

Hospitals in the region are set to benefit from £8.5m in Great British Energy and government funding to install solar panels, allowing their energy bills to be dramatically reduced.

The Government's Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband, visited a solar farm in Hull that powers the nearby Castle Hill Hospital on Friday. Castle Hill is one of just a handful of hospitals in the country that have its own solar farm that powers much of the hospital's operations.
