Judge blasted over racially charged jibe

A JUDGE has been slammed for asking a black defendant if he owned a sugar plantation.
District Judge Leo Pyle has been issued formal advice for misconduct.
During a hearing over a machete case, he asked the defendant: “Why would you need to carry a machete in the town centre unless you are a sugar plantation owner?”
