EX-FM TO ADDRESS ANTI-ISRAEL GROUP
HUMZA Yousaf has been accused of deserting the Jewish community after it emerged he will address a group that appeared to blame Israel for the October 7 terror attack.
The ex-First Minister, despite still being an MSP, will fly around the USA with the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), which advocates for Muslims and public policy
MPAC will charge as much $161.90 to hear the former SNP leader make a keynote speech at a Los Angeles benefits gala as he carries out a four-day tour during a critical period in Holyrood.
MPAČ initially failed to condemn terror group Hamas by name after the October 7 attack two years ago, adding an addendum to a statement
three days later following criticism.
Its president, Salam Al-Marayati, described the attack as a “violent reaction to occupation”. And, on the anniversary of the attacks last year, MPAC accused Israel of black mailing US politicians to do its bidding by infiltrating the US, calling them “Zionist extremists”.
The posts have now been removed from the group’s website.
Last night the chairman of the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities slammed the visit.
