Busy train line to open on Boxing Day for first time

TRAINS will this year operate on a busy Scottish railway line for the first time ever on a Boxing Day, it has been confirmed.
ScotRail will run services to and from Aberdeen on December 26 in a boost to passengers, with new services between the Granite City and Edinburgh Waverley, as well as between Arbroath and Edinburgh Waverley.
Travellers are urged to plan ahead as the timetable will be “different” in December. Trains will end early on Christmas Eve and Hogmanay with no services on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
