Maresca looked like he had come dressed for a night out in the West End with jacket with tight-fitting denim jeans and Nike Jordans.

But he will probably have felt like drowning his sorrows at home instead as Brentford sub Fabio Carvalho rescued a dramatic late point to prevent Chelsea going top.

Kevin Schade had put the Bees ahead before Cole Palmer made an immediate impact on his return from injury.

It looked as though Moises Caicedo had won it for Chelsea before Carvalho had other ideas.

Chelsea became only the second side in the history of English football to start the season with four consecutive London derbies.
