Woman and dog killed crossing road

A WOMAN and her dog died after being knocked down by a car on the A8 in Inverclyde yesterday.
Amy Gray, 42, and her dog Reggie were struck by a Land Rover Sport as they crossed the eastbound carriageway of Greenock Road in Port Glasgow.
The emergency services were called shortly after 7am but both died at the scene.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Friends posted tributes to the mother following the tragedy.
