Simpson-Pusey has not played for the Celtic first team yet

- BY RYAN McDONALD

CELTIC supporters are still picking their jaws up off the floor.

Not at the never-ending circus across over at Ibrox. Not even the latest bout of infighting to engulf Parkhead. But because forgotten Bhoy Jahmai Simpson-Pusey was finally spotted in the Hoops.

The on-loan Manchester City teen has barely been seen since the day he arrived in Glasgow back in early August.

Tipped by manager Pep Guardiola as the future of City’s defence, JSP hasn't even come close to making his senior debut for the Bhoys.

It’s a bizarre situation that's left fans scratching their heads - even if Brendan Rodgers also insists his time will come.

The England youth caps name on the team sheet against East Fife sparked a buzz on social media late last Friday.

But it was a night to forget as Celts’ kids lost 5-3 at Bayview in the KDM Evolution Trophy group stage.

For a rising star crowned Premier League 2 Player of the Year back in May, Simpson-Pusey must feel like he’s in the wrong movie.

As someone who knows all about the challenges of adapting to life at Celtic, former centre-back Kelvin Wilson certainly sympathises.

Wilson, like many, has yet to see Simpson-Pusey strut his stuff in the flesh.

But the title-winning stopper - imperious the night Celts stunned Barcelona in 2012 - offered some words of advice.
