THE SFA have taken steps to prevent dual ownership compromising Scottish clubs competing in Europe amid the growing trend of investment from the English Premier League.

WE WON'T LET CLUBS RISK EURO EJECTION

A consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises –the co-owners of Leeds United – acquired a 51% stake in Rangers earlier this month.

That came a week after Brighton owner Tony Bloom purchased 29% of Hearts, while Bournemouth holding company Black Knight acquired 25% of Hibernian in March.

All takeovers require SFA approval to comply with the governing body’s rules on owners with interests in other clubs.
