Ibrox chief sees recruiting Rohl as first step in 'owning' errors
RANGERS owner Andrew Cavenagh says he and underfire duo Patrick Stewart and Kevin Thelwell "own" the mistakes that have been made on their watch.
The American was in Glasgow to unveil Danny Rohl as the club's new head coach more than two weeks after Russell Martin was axed amid increasingly ferocious fan protests.
Those same punters also want chief executive Stewart and sporting director Thelwell gone for their part in a horror start to the season that's seen Gers win just one of eight Premiership games and lose both of their Europa League ties.
But Cavenagh said: "They do retain my full backing. Everybody makes mistakes and I know we have made some missteps along the way. We own it.
"If you make a mistake you need to try to improve and we're committed to improving. That goes for everybody at this football club.
"It's Patrick, it's Kevin, it's myself, it's Paraag [Marathe, vicechairman]. Going forward we're all accountable.
