'Vet banned me for my gender-critical views'

Former barrister sues practice claiming discrimination

A VETERINARY practice that banned a high-profile lawyer for being rude had a member of staff who thought gender-critical views were "objectionable", a court heard.

Former barrister Allison Bailey was removed from the client register of her local Palmerston Veterinary Group practice after allegedly displaying "aggressive and intimidating" behaviour that was said to have left a receptionist in tears.

But Ms Bailey, who is a friend of author JK Rowling, claims she was told to find another vet because of her gender-critical views.
