Coronation Street and Emmerdale come together in an explosive hour-long special that will change characters' lives forever
-
Lives will be permanently altered when two soaps collide, resulting in an explosive stunt.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street feature in a dramatic soap crossover, dubbed Corriedale, in whichfan favourites from both shows become caught up in a deadly multi-car pileup.
In the lead-up to the groundbreaking episode, secrets are rumbled and dangerous decisions are made, resulting in several residents being on the same stretch of road at the same time, and paving the way for some catastrophic scenes.
Many of the Corrie locals in the episode are travelling back from Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey's wedding, including Todd Grimshaw, David Platt and Abi Webster.
Actress Sally Carman-Duttine, 50, who plays Abi, says there's real concern when Debbie goes missing at the crash site after Debbie's drunken brother Carl Webster speeds off from the wedding with her trapped in his car.
"It's utter chaos," she reveals.
"Abi and Kevin [Webster] are in shock because what they're seeing is like nothing they've ever seen. They need to find Debbie."
Gareth Pierce's character Todd is left unconscious in the crash's aftermath, after he tries to flee from his abusive partner Theo Silverton, only for his plans to be thwarted.
Vicar Billy Mayhew tries to help Todd get away but gets caught up in the disaster on the road alongside Todd, Theo and the other wedding guests in the van.
