Trans fight nurses are ‘modern suffragettes’

SEVEN nurses fighting for legal protection for women and girls will become known as modern-day suffragettes, campaigners say.

The medics are challenging the NHS in a landmark action after a hospital trust allowed a biological male identifying as a woman to use femaleonly changing rooms, in what they claimed endangered their safety and abused their human rights.

They mounted a challenge after County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust failed to act in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling that women are defined by biological sex under equalities law.
