Torode eyes legal action against BBC after axing

Host fights to 'clear his name'

JOHN Torode is said to be preparing to take legal action against the BBC after he was sacked from MasterChef.

The presenter was ditched from the cooking show after an allegation of using “an extremely offensive racist term” was upheld.

Torode said he had “no recollection” of it happening. And in a statement the Australian star said he’d only found out his contract had been terminated after the BBC and producers Banijay put out the news.

Now sources close to the TV host claim he’s speaking to employment lawyers as he fights to “clear his name”.
