Tories declare 'war on woke' with demand to axe SNP diversity roles

THE Scottish Tories will demand a crackdown on taxpayer-funded “woke” jobs and guidance.

Leader Russell Findlay has insisted public cash should not be spent on “bloated public sector networks stuffed with people wearing the most fashionable lanyards they can find”.

His party will outline this policy at the Scottish Conservative conference this weekend. In his sights are staff in diversity, equality or inclusion (DEI) posts, as well as policy documents promoting gender identities.

ing SNP ministers without admitting where their funding comes from. It comes as the likes of Stonewall and Scottish Trans have had major influence over gender policies being put forward by the Scottish Government.

SNP ministers spend at least £4million a year on “woke” jobs, with staffing posts that had equality, diversity or inclusion in the title costing £3.97million in 2024-25.
