CHRIS SUTTON reckons Kieran Tierney may have felt “humiliation” at finding himself dropped from a struggling Celtic team.

The 28-year-old left-back returned to Parkhead amid huge fanfare this summer following five years at Arsenal, but it’s been far from a fairytale comeback.

Tierney has found himself repeatedly omitted from starting lineups - under both Brendan Rodgers and Martin O'Neill - as the Hoops tried to find their form.

However, he headed to the Scotland camp this week on the back of scoring in Sunday's 4-0 win over Kilmarnock.

Tierney was on the pitch as a sub having replaced the injured Marcelo Saracchi, with the Uruguayan also named ahead of him for other key games this term, such as the Premier Sports Cup semifinal win against Rangers at Hampden.
