WILLIE MULLINS can pull off another successful Coral Scottish Grand National raid at Ayr with CHOSEN WITNESS (3.35).

- By The Scout (Melissa Jones)

The Irishman is hot on the heels of Dan Skelton in the British trainers’ championship after saddling a 1-2-3 in the English version of today’s race at Aintree.

Mullins has trimmed 11 entries at the five-day stage down to six, a team which includes last year’s winner Macdermott and Olympic Man in the Gold Cupwinning silks of Galopin Des Champs.

The latter is an intriguing runner but it is hard to get away from Chosen Witness, travelling well when he unseated Paul Townend in a Grade Two chase at Navan in February.
