Kyziridis scored in win against Celtic and welcomed new son
ALEXANDROS KYZIRIDIS said firing Hearts to victory over Celtic and welcoming the birth of his son made it the best week of his life.
The Greek winger’s superb second-half goal in the 3-1 win at Tynecastle moved Derek McInnes team eight points clear at the top of the Premiership.
Off the field, it has also been a special time with the 25-year-old and his wife welcoming baby Charalambos into the world just four days before Sunday's game.
Jambos supporters are now dreaming of a first Scottish title since 1960.
But as Kyziridis said himself, dreaming is only for when “youre sleeping” And, given the new arrival in the household, he’s not going to get much of that anyway in the coming weeks.
He was fine for last weekend, though, as Kyziridis explained: “Yeah, I sleep well thanks to my wife. She was looking after him. So I could sleep, and I sleep well”
He was wide awake against the defending champions and took advantage of their dozy defending to unleash his fizzer which restored Hearts’ lead and put them on their way to three points.
For Kyziridis, it capped a memorable few days.
He said: “It was a hard week, to be honest. But it was by far the best week of my life. I'm so happy. You can't imagine”
