CAL: WE'RE ALL ACCOUNTABLE

- By Michael Gannon

THE Celtic blame game is in full swing following Tuesday night’s Champions League car crash in Kazakhstan.

But Callum McGregor insists everyone at the club has to accept responsibility for the abject failure.

Celtic fans are still in a state of shock after the humiliation of going out at the playoff stage to a Kairat Almaty side ranked 315th in Europe.

Seething supporters have no doubt where the buck stops — with the Parkhead chiefs in the firing line for failing to bolster the squad in time for the £40million showdown.

Skipper McGregor admitted the team does need new faces - but that doesn’t let anyone off the hook.

The woeful recruitment played a huge part, though, and left boss Brendan Rodgers with a patchwork side.

But Celtic still should have had enough quality and tactical guile to deal with a team who were no better than physical and well organised.
