Super fan books 22 hotels before draw

A SCOTLAND super fan has taken World Cup fever to new heights after booking a jaw-dropping 22 hotels priced up to £3,000 each across US, Mexico and Canada.

Daris Nesbit, 24, from Bishopton, has gone to extraordinary lengths to make sure he's there to cheer on Steve Clarke's men at next summer's World Cup.

While most fans are waiting for tomorrow's group-stage draw, Daris has already created an extensive plan to follow Scotland around North America from June 10 to 24.

The IT analyst told the Daily Record about his efforts. He said: "I have covered every venue but I can adjust the dates after the draw. All are free cancellation. The average price of the hotels is £1,400 to £3,000 for two weeks, but that will change once I alter the dates."
