Burke heroine new favourite for Classic
VENETIAN SUN became the favourite for next year’s 1,000 Guineas after defeating one of Aidan O’Brien’s top two-year-olds yesterday.
In a clash between the winners of Royal Ascot’s Albany Stakes and Coventry Stakes for the Prix Morny, it was the Karl Burke-trained filly who prevailed by a diminishing short neck at Deauville.
