'Grotesque' pro-Hamas uni demos on anniversary of atrocity were 'betrayal of humanity'
PRO-PALESTINIAN supporters in Scotland who ignored pleas not to protest on the second anniversary of the Hamas terror atrocity on Israel were last night told they were guilty of a "moral obscenity".
Masked
Hundreds of students, accompanied by some staff, took to the streets of Glasgow and Edinburgh yesterday in full knowledge of the day's meaning to the country's beleagured Jewish community.
Many of those attending the marches were masked whilst others banged drums, waved placards and shouted slogans in Arabic.
It came exactly two years after Islamist terror group Hamas massacred more than 1,000 innocent Israeli citizens and took hundreds more captive.
The shocking scenes witnessed in Scotland's two biggest cities were slammed as "grotesquely insensitive" by the chairman of the Glasgow Friends of Israel.
Sammy Stein added: "To hold celebrations or demonstrations today is nothing short of despicable.
