Stride 'very sad' over state of Scotland under Nationalist rule

SHADOW Chancellor Mel Stride has described how "sad" he is over the state of Scotland after nearly two decades of SNP rule.

Mr Stride visited a whisky bottling company in Glasgow yesterday to hear about tax worries following another disastrous Scottish Budget.

His appearance in Scotland comes at a tough time for the Scottish Tories, who are at risk of being overtaken by Reform as the leading right-wing force here. But he claimed it is only his party who are sticking up for the Union.
