Serial bag snatcher faces jail for OAP attack

A THUG who robbed a lone woman of 86 as she walked home from church was behind bars last night.
It is the third time Abel Ghebrehiwret, 26, has been convicted of such a crime. He preyed on Joan Hay in Possilpark, Glasgow, pulling so hard at her handbag that the strap broke off.
The callous thief made off with it and later abandoned the bag but kept her purse which contained £150.
Yesterday, he pleaded guilty to assault and robbery on June 30.
