Security review after

ONE of two planes vandalised by pro-Palestinian activists stands out of action at RAF Brize Norton, an act of sabotage that has prompted a security review across the MoD’s estate.

Video of two protesters breaking into the Oxfordshire base and spraying the jets’ engines with red paint was posted online by Palestine Action yesterday.

In the clip, one rides an electric scooter across a runway to an Airbus Voyager air-to-air refuelling tanker before attacking an engine.

The group said they used repurposed fire extinguishers and crowbars to cause further damage. It is believed the pair sprayed red paint across the runway and left a Palestinian flag before fleeing undetected.

Last night, the Government announced the group would be proscribed under the Terrorism Act of 2000, making it a criminal offence to belong to or support Palestine Action.
