Reform may take over at Holyrood, claims ex-Tory

A FORMER Conservative MP has claimed Reform UK could oust the SNP at Holyrood and be the next Scottish Government.

Although Nigel Farage’s party is ahead in the polls across the whole of Britain, it is trailing both the Nats and Labour in Scotland.

But Ross Thomson says Reform is gaining support and the battle for Holyrood next May could be a three-horse race.

That would mirror the result of the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election, where Labour took the seat with 32% of the vote ahead of the SNP on 29% and Reform on 26%.

Mr Thomson says a Reform win would kill off the cause of Scottish independence.
