RODGERS LAUGHS OFF RESIGNATION TALK
BRENDAN RODGERS is adamant there is “absolutely no chance” he will quit Celtic mid-season amid frustration over transfer activity.
The Northern Irishman, right, is still waiting on the attacking reinforcements he called for before the season started and fans turned on the board as their team were held to a 0-0 draw by Kairat Almaty in the first leg of their Champions League playoff on Wednesday.
Rodgers is in the final season of his three-year contract and nothing has changed over his commitment since the day he returned to Parkhead following a spell at Leicester City.
When told that some fans feared he may walk out before the end of the season, he replied: “Absolutely no chance. No chance.
“We’ve done that one before — it didn’t go down well! I said from the first day, and there’s no hidden messages and there’s no this and that, I said I’d be here for three years and I’m here for three years.”
