Finnish keeper's delighted by his Celtic career so far

- By Michael Gannon

HILLWALKING Viljami Sinisalo has been lapping up the Scottish scenery since his switch to Celtic.

But it’s the long-term view at Parkhead that really excites the Finnish keeper.

Sinisalo was promoted from the bench when regular No.1 Kasper Schmeichel was out injured and Hoops fans have liked what they’ve seen so far from the 23-year-old.

But it works both ways for the former Aston Villa player.

Sinisalo is set to return to the side against Aberdeen at Pittodrie tomorrow night after Schmeichel made his return in last weekend’s win against Hibs.

There were no complaints from Sinisalo as he has relished his opportunity to show he can rise to be the main man in time.

Being involved at the business end of the season has proved he has a head for heights — and helped put him firmly in the sights of supporters.

Sinisalo admitted he’s an outdoors kind of guy and he’s regularly out and about seeing the sights of Scotland.

He’s enjoying his new-found fame and it’s given him a hint of the size and scale of the club.

It’s enough to make some dizzy, but the level-headed Finn is not a man to look down.

Sinisalo said: “Loch Lomond’s been our favourite with the missus. So, yeah, it’s been good.
