EMMANUEL LONGELO'S determination to aim for the top meant a title challenge was in his mind when he joined Motherwell from Birmingham in July.

Few others would have considered that a possibility, but Well will be just seven points off top spot if they beat Dundee in their game in hand at Dens Park today.

While Longelo’s optimism is longstanding, he isn’t getting carried away with what might be possible come May.

The 25-year-old left-back (above) said: “I thought I was coming into a good team, a good club with good morals, wonderful people.

“Fighting for the league is something I had at the back of my mind. You play to win, so I came up and set my targets.
