Liam McConnell wants four wins in Edinburgh's closing quartet of URC games

The Edinburgh flanker was originally named in it by Gregor Townsend but had to withdraw with a rib injury.

Now he is targeting a big finish to the season to boost his chances of a recall for the Nations Championship clashes in the summer against Argentina, South Africa and Fiji.

“I want to try and stake a claim,’ said McConnell. “There are a lot of back rows out there, probably hoping to play in these matches, so these final four league games for Edinburgh are massive to try and put my best foot forward. I'm sure there are still places up for grabs”
