JOHN McGINN accepts this might be his last crack at getting to a World Cup with Scotland.

JOHN McGINN accepts this might be his last crack at getting to a World Cup with Scotland.

He turns 31 next month and six days before his birthday he should earn an 80th cap against Belarus at Hampden.

Having now been to two Euro finals with Steve Clarke's side, pulling on a Scotland shirt means every bit as much to the talismanic star now as it did when he made his debut against Denmark almost a decade ago.

He's captain of English Premier League outfit Aston Villa, so there’s an argument to say he should contemplate solely focusing on his club.

And McGinn can see why the likes of Celtic skipper Callum McGregor decided to hang up his Scotland boots.

But he's adamant he'll only stop turning up when a manager decides he’s not up to it any longer.

As the Tartan Army hero prepares to face Belarus in Zalaegerszeg tonight, McGinn was asked if he could see a time where he'd consider quitting the national side.
