'Hold off on family farm tax for a year'

LABOUR has been urged to delay its inheritance tax raid on farmers by a year.

Putting it off until April 2027 would give farmers time to “seek appropriate professional advice”, a cross-party group of MPs said.

It would also give the Government “an opportunity to convey a positive long-term vision for farming”, said the environment, food and rural affairs committee.
