Henderson senior will be at Hampden as Liam chases Cup
HIS diehard Hibee dad only got to savour 114 years of Scottish Cup heartbreak ending over FaceTime.
Now Liam Henderson would love to give his old man, Willie, another Hampden showpiece and the chance to end 69 years of Falkirk hurt to make up for it.
The defender, a standout on the Bairns' return to the top flight, was a spectator in 2016 as Hibs lifted the old trophy after a litany of close run encounters.
Henderson had his own flirtation with a final appearance three years ago, only for VAR to introduce itself for a harsh Leon McCann handball in seven minutes.
Billy Mckay bulged the net with the resultant penalty as Inverness sped off to a 3-0 semifinal win and a place in the big show.
Three years is a hell of a long time, though... and in Falkirk’s case an eternity, when comparing slugging it out in League One then to top-six football now.
Dunfermline stand in the way of adding a final run out to a blistering league campaign and Henderson is one of many in his family heavily invested.
The 29-year-old said: “With Hibs, I got three tickets - me and my mate, then I was going to get my dad.
