It's a stitch up, but Em is still going

COMEBACK queen Emma Wassell had to battle back from chest surgery to earn her place in Scotland’s Rugby World Cup squad.

But last night she revealed she thought her tournament was over - after just 30 seconds of the opening game against Wales.

Wassell, 30, was out of action for a year after she discovered a benign tumour in her chest.

Fully fit again, the Aberdonian played in two warm-up games and then was in the starting lineup for last Saturday’s Pool B win against the Welsh.

A cut above her eye meant she had to leave the pitch to get stitches put in.
