England booked their World Cup place early. VICKY LISSAMAN profiles all of the US host cities so you can do the same
With 104 matches and 48 teams playing across the US, Canada and Mexico, the 2026 World Cup presents a rare opportunity to combine exciting sporting action with a dream holiday.
Sixteen cities will host games and 11 of them are in the US. From fan zones, street parties, local celebrations and stadium energy, the atmosphere from June 11 to July 19 is set to be electric.
While Ocean Florida is not selling match tickets, the tour operator is offering tailored stays across all major host cities and places nearby with expert advice.
Orlando, Florida
Why: A great base for the World Cup, just a three-hour drive from Miami and in the same time zone for seamless game viewing. Combine the tournament with a bucketlist holiday, enjoying theme parks, entertainment, and outdoor adventures.
What to do: Stay in budget-friendly villas with home cinemas, outdoor projectors, and games rooms. Explore famous theme parks, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando as well as lesser-known attractions like the Orlando Science Centre, or cool off at Aquatica or Volcano Bay water parks.
