Fury at £6m spend on social media ads

THE Scottish Government has been blasted after spending £6million on advertising on social media, while Scots struggle face a cost of living crisis and hefty income and council tax bills.

SNP ministers use platforms such as Facebook, X and TikTok to make people aware of law changes and policies. Social media became a prominent tool during the pandemic when people were trapped in their homes and internet use went through the roof.

Draconian measures were introduced by Nicola Sturgeon while spending on social media advertising rose to record highs.
