Footie star jailed over £400,000 of dirty cash

A FORMER footballer who was once part of a Scottish Cup winning squad has been jailed for trying to launder almost £400,000 in criminal cash.
James Keatings, who starred for both Hibs and Hearts, last month pled guilty to possessing and transferring criminal property.
Falkirk Sheriff Court heard he was seen transferring boxes from one van to another in Wishaw in June 2024.
When cops stopped the van they found 78 bundles of notes with a total value of £390,040.
Keatings' DNA was found on elastic bands within the boxes, as well as on the bank notes.
