Ex-FM Yousaf's brother-in-law on drug deal charge

THE brother-in-law of the former First Minister Humza Yousaf has gone on trial accused of extorting money and supplying the Class A drugs heroin and cocaine.

Thirty-seven-year old Ramsay El Nakla pleaded not guilty to the three charges at the outset of the trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.

Intimidating

El Nakla and his coaccused Stephen Stewart, 52, Jennifer Souter, 39, and Victoria McGowan, 43, are alleged to have intimidated Ryan Munro at a flat in Morgan Street, Dundee, on January 9 and 10 last year and extorted a sum of money from him by threats.

Stewart, Souter and McGowan face a further charge of killing Mr Munro on January 10 last year at the Dundee flat.
